(blt), n.[AS. belt; akin to Icel. belti, Sw. blte, Dan. blte, OHG. balz, L. balteus, Ir. & Gael. balt border, belt.]
1. That which engirdles a person or thing; a band or girdle; as, a lady's belt; a sword belt.
