(bn"nt), n.[OE. bonet, OF. bonet, bonete. F. bonnet fr. LL. bonneta, bonetum; orig. the name of a stuff, and of unknown origin.]
1. A headdress for men and boys; a cap. [Obs.] Milton. Shak.
