Cystid"ea (s?s-t?d"?-?), n. pl.[NL., fr. Gr. a bladder, pouch.] (Zol.) An order of Crinoidea, mostly fossils of the Paleozoic rocks. They were usually roundish or egg-shaped, and often unsymmetrical; some were sessile, others had short stems.
