(), n.[Formerly written horrour.] [L. horror, fr. horrere to bristle, to shiver, to tremble with cold or dread, to be dreadful or terrible; cf. Skr. hsh to bristle.]
1. A bristling up; a rising into roughness; tumultuous movement. [Archaic]
