Mea"gre} (), a.[OE. merge, F. maigre, L. macer; akin to D. & G. mager, Icel. magr, and prob. to Gr. makro°s long. Cf. Emaciate, Maigre.]
1. Destitue of, or having little, flesh; lean.
Meager were his looks;
