Sep"ulchre} (), n.[OE. sepulcre, OF. sepulcre, F. spulcre, fr. L. sepulcrum, sepulchrum, fr. sepelire to bury.] The place in which the dead body of a human being is interred, or a place set apart for that purpose; a grave; a tomb.
