(rnch), n.[OE. wrench deceit, AS. wrenc deceit, a twisting; akin to G. rank intrigue, crookedness, renken to bend, twist, and E. wring. 144. See Wring, and cf. Ranch, v. t.]
1. Trick; deceit; fraud; stratagem. [Obs.]
