The 1977 Pacific hurricane season was, at the time, the least active in recorded history. Only eight tropical storms formed, and four hurricanes; they would be tied and surpassed, respectively, by the 2010 Pacific hurricane season. There were no major hurricanes; the next time this happened would be the 2003 season. In addition, there was just one storm in each of May, June, July, August, and October, which is also low; the other three storms were in September. Activity in the central Pacific was zero, as no storms formed there nor moved in from the east. The low seasonal activity also occurred in the Atlantic hurricane season and in the typhoon season of the western Pacific. This was a worldwide trend; various factors inhibited tropical cyclone development throughout the northern hemisphere, resulting in a record low level of tropical cyclones worldwide. Hurricane Anita(See 1977 atlantic hurricane season) crossed into the basin however it was not renamed because it did not reach tropical storm status while in the basin. ==Seasonal summary== ImageSize = width:800 height:200 PlotArea = top:10 bottom:80 right:20 left:20 Legend = columns:3 left:30 top:58 columnwidth:270 AlignBars = early DateFormat = dd/mm/yyyy Period = from:01/05/1977 till:10/11/1977 TimeAxis = orientation:horizontal ScaleMinor = grid:black unit:month increment:1 start:01/05/1977 Colors = id:canvas value:gray(0.88) id:GP value:red id:TD value:rgb(0.38,0.73,1) legend:Tropical_Depression_=_<39_mph_(0–62_km/h) id:TS value:rgb(0,0.98,0.96) legend:Tropical_Storm_=_39–73_mph_(63–117 km/h) id:C1 value:rgb(1,1,0.80) legend:Category_1_=_74–95_mph_(119–153_km/h) id:C2 value:rgb(1,0.91,0.46) legend:Category_2_=_96–110_mph_(154–177_km/h) id:C3 value:rgb(1,0.76,0.25) legend:Category_3_=_111–130_mph_(178–209-km/h) id:C4 value:rgb(1,0.56,0.13) legend:Category_4_=_131–155_mph_(210–249_km/h) id:C5 value:rgb(1,0.38,0.38) legend:Category_5_=_>=156_mph_(>=250_km/h) Backgroundcolors = canvas:canvas BarData = barset:Hurricane bar:Month PlotData= barset:Hurricane width:11 align:left fontsize:S shift:(4,-4) anchor:till from:26/05/1977 till:30/05/1977 color:TS text:"Ava" from:30/05/1977 till:01/06/1977 color:TD text:"Two" from:09/06/1977 till:11/06/1977 color:TD text:"Three" from:25/06/1977 till:28/06/1977 color:TS text:"Bernice" from:03/07/1977 till:07/07/1977 color:C1 text:"Claudia" from:08/07/1977 till:09/07/1977 color:TD text:"Six" barset:break from:09/07/1977 till:10/07/1977 color:TD text:"Seven" from:25/07/1977 till:25/07/1977 color:TD text:"Eight" from:01/08/1977 till:02/08/1977 color:TD text:"Nine" from:13/08/1977 till:18/08/1977 color:C1 text:"Doreen" from:03/09/1977 till:04/09/1977 color:TD text:"Eleven" from:13/09/1977 till:14/09/1977 color:TS text:"Emily" barset:break from:19/09/1977 till:23/09/1977 color:TD text:"Thirteen" from:20/09/1977 till:24/09/1977 color:C2 text:"Florence" from:24/09/1977 till:27/09/1977 color:TS text:"Glenda" from:04/10/1977 till:07/10/1977 color:C1 text:"Heather" from:22/10/1977 till:23/10/1977 color:TD text:"Seventeen" bar:Month width:5 align:center fontsize:S shift:(0,-20) anchor:middle color:canvas from:01/05/1977 till:01/06/1977 text:May from:01/06/1977 till:01/07/1977 text:June from:01/07/1977 till:01/08/1977 text:July from:01/08/1977 till:01/09/1977 text:August from:01/09/1977 till:01/10/1977 text:September from:01/10/1977 till:01/11/1977 text:October TextData = pos:(570,30) text:"(From the" pos:(617,30) text:"Saffir–Simpson Hurricane Scale)" The 1977 Pacific hurricane season had the lowest number of tropical storms since reliable records began in 1949, producing 17 tropical depressions, 8 of which became tropical storms or hurricanes.〔 The season officially started on May 15, 1977 in the Eastern Pacific Ocean, the area east of 140°W and on June 1 in the Central Pacific which is between the International Date Line and 140°W, and lasted until November 30, 1977 in both areas. The first storm of the season, Tropical Storm Ava, formed off the southwest coast of Mexico on May 26. Between June and August, three named storms formed, with one forming in each month. September was the most active month, producing three named storm storms. One of those storms was Hurricane Florence, the strongest of the season. Tropical Depression Seventeen, the last storm of the year, dissipated on October 23. This season was the last to use the old naming lists that only had female names. Starting in the 1978 season, the naming lists began to include male names. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「1977 Pacific hurricane season」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
