|Section2= |Section3= }} 2,4-Xylidine is an organic compound with formula (CH3)2C6H3NH2. It is an aromatic amine, i.e. an aniline. It is prepared by nitration of m-xylene followed by hydrogenation. Commercially significant derivatives include the veterinary drug cymiazole and the colorant Pigment Yellow 81.〔M.
