Abort67
Abort67 is a pro-life protest group in the UK known for using hardline tactics such as holding protests outside of abortion clinics, counselling people going in or out of the clinics, and displaying graphic images of aborted fetuses. Such tactics are considered unusual and extreme in the UK, although they are more common in the US. Some sources say Abort67 receives financial support from US anti-abortion groups.〔http://www.theargus.co.uk/news/9623459.Special_report__Pro_lifers_target_Brighton_clinic/〕 ==Opposition== Members of Abort67 oppose abortion in all circumstances. Some prominent UK politicians, such as Secretary of State for Work and Pensions Iain Duncan Smith and MP Nadine Dorries, have called for the 24-week abortion time-limit to be reduced.〔http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2012/07/30/anti-abortion-group-abortion-huffington-post-blog_n_1718058.html〕〔http://www.theargus.co.uk/news/9623459.Special_report__Pro_lifers_target_Brighton_clinic/〕〔http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2012/10/22/abort76-brighton-targets-sussex-university-students_n_2000701.html〕 Members of the group have been arrested on charges of causing “harassment, alarm or distress” and obstructing a police officer, after refusing to take down a large banner. They were later acquitted, and supporters of the group claimed that their arrest had been a violation of their right to free speech.〔http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/religion/9400183/Christian-protesters-charged-by-police-over-displaying-graphic-anti-abortion-banner.html〕
