Adscript
Adscript (from Latin ad, on or to, and scribere, to write) means something written ''after'', as opposed to subscript which means written ''under''. A laborer was called an "adscript of the soil" (''adscriptus glebae'') when he could be sold or transferred with it, as in feudal days, and as in Russia until 1861. ==See also==
*Iota adscript
