Adyanthaya
Adyanthaya is a Surname of the Bunt people who hail from the erstwhile South Canara District in Karnataka state, India. The word Adyanthaya is derived from Sanskrit meaning, ''the one who knows the beginning and the end''. It is a rare and unique Indian last name with probably less than 300 families around the globe. The Bunt community members were predominantly landlords in Dakshin Kannada (formerly known as South Kanara) district. During the 60's, they lost most of their property due to the land legislation act. Thereafter members of this community took to being entrepreneurs and professionals. Adyanthaya is the longest surname of bunt community. ==References==
