Akido (stylized as aKido) is the pseudonym of Canadian electronic rock musician and composer Kim Gaboury.〔(July 6, 2008). "Free shows today", ''The Gazette'', p. A20.〕 Gaboury assembles a live band to tour with; this live component is generally considered a separate entity from aKido in the recording studio. As of 23 September 2007, according to The R3-30, the aKido song ''Dancing in Chains'' was the third-most popular indie song in Canada.
