Akilandeswari or Akhilāṇḑeśvarī is one of the main forms of the Hindu goddess, Parvati. The famous abode of Akilandeswari is the temple of Thiruvanaikoil. Other important forms of Parvati are Meenakshi of Madurai, Kamakshi of Kanchipuram and Vishalakshi of Varanasi. The deity's name means: Supreme Goddess ("Eswari") - who rules ("Aand") - the Universe ("Akilam"). Hence, ''Akilandeswari''. More information on this Goddess is available here: Jambukeswarar Temple, Thiruvanaikaval. She is sometimes depicted riding on the back of a crocodile. In 2012, P. Unni Krishnan and Harini, the renowned vocalists rendered songs on Lord Sakthi through a devotional album titled OM NAVA SAKTHI JAYA JAYA SAKTHI, in which Lord Akilandeswari of Thiruvanaikoil was also praised through a dedicated song. This song contains depiction on the said temple and its complete history captured in a big way.〔 (Unnikrishnan on Akilandeswari )〕 ==References== 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Akilandeswari」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
