Aknoor is a village panchayat in Cherial mandal in Warangal district in the state of Telangana in south India. It was formerly in Andhra Pradesh. Aknoor village has about 800-year-old Rudreshwara (Shiva) Temple inaugurated by Kakatiya King Ganapapathy Deva in the year 1199. This village has many dismantled Jain Temples and other historic value. VANGALA (Deshmukh Reddy) family is the only prominent and well-known family in the village and around Cherial Area. This well-known family has unmatched traditional resources,influence & respect in the area, with 3 highly respected brothers: Vangala Raghava Reddy Deshmukh, Vangala Prakash Reddy Deshmikh & Late Vangala Narsimha Reddy Deshmukh.. They donated the lands to village Roads, to Shiva Temple expansion and to many poor and needy villagers. This family controlled surrounding 8 villages Patwari, police and Maali Patel posts until the 1980s, with effective law and order command in all 8 villages. In that village there was a powerful man "AVVAL NARAYANA". He as Sarpanch of Aknoor village for 18 years he served a lot of poor people and he started a NISHKAMA KALA KENDRAM for poor people, there are lot of cultural activities classes given to people. And established NIshkama Kala Kendram Schools surroundings villages so many members are developed in many organizations like MLA's & MLC's, Doctors,Abroad and so many cultural activities like Sangeetham Sahityam, given with THOKALA VENKATA RAJAIAH His is one of student of Nishkama Kala Kendram and his worked in Aknoor ZPSS High School Telugu Pandit Grade -I and he write a book of "Swararagha Sudh Malika" ingratiated in October 2013. also in that village ABBU KISTAIAH as sarpanch for nearly 20 years developed village by bringing electricity,water,etc. Bade venkata hanumaiah was a famous person and most respected dynamic person who served the village as patwary in between 1967-1984.then after n.t.ramarao ruled out patwary system as a result of which he faced struggle to run family and he has some agriculture land of around 25 acres .he did farming and kept almost all the crops in his land.
