Alseno is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Piacenza in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about northwest of Bologna and about southeast of Piacenza. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 4,793 and an area of .〔All demographics and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat.〕 The municipality of Alseno contains the ''frazioni'' (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Castelnuovo Fogliani, Chiaravalle della Colomba, Cortina, and Lusurasco.
