In Greek mythology, Amykos (), Latinized as Amycus, was the son of Poseidon and Melia. He was a boxer and King of the Bebryces, a mythical people in Bithynia. Polydeuces killed him in a boxing match when the Argonauts passed through Bithynia.〔Apollonius Rhodius, ''Argonautica'', 2. 1.ff & 2. 94 ff with scholia〕〔''Bibliotheca'' 1. 9. 20〕〔Hyginus, ''Fabulae'', 17〕〔''Argonautica Orphica'', 657 ff〕 He was also a prominent Trojan during the Trojan War. He married Theona and had one son named Mimas,〔Virgil, ''Aeneid'', 10. 702〕 who followed Aeneas to Italy, where he was killed by Turnus.〔Virgil, ''Aeneid'', 12. 509〕
