==Overview==

It has never featured in a Ranji Trophy final and has therefore never had a chance to participate in the Irani Trophy. In the 2007/08 season Andhra achieved two wins out of six in the Elite Group of the Ranji Trophy, missing out of the semi-finals. It falls under the South Zone of Indian cricket. In the 2007-08 season, the Andhra Pradesh cricket team was captained by Mannava Prasad. The contingent also included Arjun Kumar, Mohammad Faiq, Sarath Babu and Paidikalva Vijaykumar.〔
In a recent match held in February 2013 in Goa, Andhra Pradesh played an outstanding game to beat the host team Goa by an embarrassing 170-run in the South Zone meet at the Vijay Hazare (Vijay Hazare Trophy) National One Day Championship. Played with superb all round batting and ferocious bowling, Andhra Pradesh scored 261 for six in 50 overs with the star player of the game, K.S. Bharat notching up 125 runs. Likewise, the Goa team saw a humiliating defeat at the hands of the Andhra bowlers at just 91 in 25.4 overs.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.cricketcountry.com/cricket-articles/VIjay-Hazare-Trophy-2013-Andhra-Pradesh-thrash-Goa/23233 )
Andhra finished seventh in the 2013-14 Ranji Trophy season, winning just one game. In limited-overs tournaments, the results were equally middling. In the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament, they finished last in the South Zone group and failed to progress to the Super League. Although their Vijay Hazare campaign also ended on a similar note, Andhra were third on the South Zone table, behind Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
