Ansair was founded by Reg Ansett in the 1945 in Tullamarine to body buses for his Ansett Pioneer coach operation as well as maunfacture aircraft components for Ansett Airways.〔"New Owners for Ansair" ''Australian Bus Panorama'' October 1995 issue 11/3 page 20〕 It also bodied buses for other operators.
