Apastovo ((ロシア語:Апастово); ) is an urban locality (an urban-type settlement) and the administrative center of Apastovsky District of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia. Population: 4,566 (2002 Census); In 1992, the majority of the population was Tatar. ==Geography== Apastovo lies on the Kazan-Ulyanovsk auto route, southwest of Kazan〔 in the Sviyaga River valley, from the main channel, on a small stream named Tabarka, which is a tributary of the Ulema River. Apastovo lies from Karatun, the nearest train station.〔 It has been known since 1647 as Yenaleyevo ().
