Apesia Apesia () is a village in the Limassol District of Cyprus, located 3 km southeast of Korfi. Although the word απαίσια in greek when the strong part is on the middle syllable means ugly, the name of the village is pronounced in a different way, Απαισιά and the strong sound goes on the third syllable.
Apesia was in the world news in October 2014 after the theft of a six million Degas painting was reported (http://en.ria.ru/world/20141004/193649653/Cypriot-Media-Release-Image-of-Russian-Suspected-of-75-Million.html). ==References==
