Arteluce
Arteluce was a company that specialises in lighting and interior design and was founded by aeronautical engineer and modern lighting pioneer Gino Sarfatti in Milan.〔(Topic on Answers.com )〕 Arteluce gained renown in the 1950s as a national and international reference point for the modern architecture movement in lighting.〔(Sarfatti profile on Flos Website )〕〔(1000 Lights: 1878 to 1959 edited by Charlotte Fiell, Peter Fiell p467 )〕 Commissioned designers included Franco Albini and Marco Zanuso. In 1974 the company became a division of the Flos group, employing designers such as Matteo Thun, Ezio Didoni, Perry A. King and Marc Sadler.
