Attentiv
Attentiv is a web-based software that allows users to collaborate together using polling, upvoting, threaded commenting, and anonymous discussion. It was created by Daniel Russell and co-founders Brian Patterson and Dan Hinckley and it officially launched in April, 2015.〔 Attentiv also participated in TechBuzz and was listed as one of the top three companies to watch from the TechBuzz class of 2015. ==History== Attentiv founder Russell developed the idea of an anonymous collaboration app while he was in Washington, DC, attending law school and working for a marketing agency. On a marketing consulting trip, Russell had met with an executive team to help them with their brand's marketing. While their initial reaction to his marketing plan had been extremely positive, the team changed its mind when the CEO made an unplanned visit and began arguing that it was not the time to try new things. The executives on the team were afraid to disagree with the CEO and decided to postpone the new marketing plan. Russell decided to create a software that would help team members share their thoughts and ideas without fear of angering leaders and decided that allowing people to collaborate anonymously would help overcome this problem. The initial version of Attentiv was setup as a meeting management platform, but it soon pivoted to a more collaboration-based structure to allow for greater flexibility. Then, after development and beta testing,〔 Russell launched Attentiv in April 2015. Russell has stated that the software is structured to enable introverts in the workplace and eliminate wasted meeting time.
