Attimis (, (ドイツ語:Attems), (スロベニア語:Ahten)) is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Udine in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about northwest of Trieste and about northeast of Udine. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,909 and an area of .〔All demographics and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat.〕 According to the census 1971 23,3% of the population are Slovenes. The municipality of Attimis contains the ''frazioni'' (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Forame, Subit, Porzus, Racchiuso, and Borgo Faris (Partistagno). Attimis borders the following municipalities: Faedis, Nimis, Povoletto, Taipana. Here lies an important medieval archaeological museum with many artifacts and interesting routes for school children The Attems noble family originates from the Fortress of Attimis.
