AusStage
AusStage is an online database which records information about live performances in Australia.〔(About AusStage )〕 It provides records of productions from the beginnings of theatre in Australia up to today.〔(Jonathan Bollen, Neal Harvey, Julie Holledge, Glen McGillivray (Apr 2009) "AusStage: e-Research in the Performing Arts", ) ''Australasian Drama Studies'', Vol. 54, pp.178-194〕 It was originally built by a consortium of eight universities together with other organisations such as the Australia Council, PASIG (Performing Arts Special Interest Group) and the Playbox Theatre, and was funded by the Australian Research Council.〔( AusStage History )〕 It was launched in pilot mode in October 2002.〔("AusStage: Gateway to the Australian Performing Arts" ) (December 2002) Gateways; National Library of Australia〕〔(AusStage National Performing Arts Database (12 April 2001) The Wolanski Foundation )〕 To date AusStage has received funding from the Australian Research Council, the National eResearch Architecture Taskforce, the Australian National Data Service and the Australian Access Federation.
