Ayamach'ay (Quechua ''aya'' corpse, ''mach'ay'' cave, ''ayamach'ay'' burial cave,〔Diccionario Quechua - Español - Quechua, Academía Mayor de la Lengua Quechua, Gobierno Regional Cusco, Cusco 2005〕 also spelled ''Ayamachay'') is an archaeological site with rock paintings in Peru. It is situated in the Cusco Region, Canchis Province, Combapata District, above the left bank of the river Sallqa ''(Salcca)'' in the community of Urusqucha ''(Oroscocha, Orosqocha)''.〔Rainer Hostnig, Pinturas rupestres de posible afiliación Inca en el departamento del Cusco, SIARB.
