Ayegunle
Ayegunle Gbede is a town in Kogi State in northern Nigeria. It lies after Ayetoro and Iyah Gbede, at the intersection of roads from Lokoja, Kabba, Ayetoro, Mopa, Egbe,and Ilorin . The nearest town of Abuja is about 3 hours driving away. Ayegunle was in administrative headquarters of the Kabba division of the defunct Northern Region of Nigeria, which includes all of the current Kogi State. Ayegunle Market(Ohon) is a trade centre for coffee, cocoa, yams, cassava, corn (maize), sorghum, shea nuts, peanuts (groundnuts), beans, cotton, and woven cloth produced by the Yoruba, Igbira, Igala, and other peoples of the surrounding area. Ayegunle people speak a dielect called Gbede or Okun. Many of them speak Yoruba as their language shares vowels with it.
