Azadodecaborane : ウィキペディア英語版 | Azadodecaborane An Azadodecaborane is a icosahedral cluster composed of boron, nitrogen and hydrogen atoms. Like many of the related boranes, these clusters are polyhedra and are similarly classified as ''closo-, nido-, arachno-, hypho-,'' etc. based on whether they represent a complete (''closo-'') polyhedron, or a polyhedron that is missing one (''nido-''), two (''arachno-''), or more vertices. Interesting examples of azadodecaboranes are the extremely stable icosahedral closo-azadodecaborane. A prominent example is the charge-neutral NB11H12 or ''closo''-azadodecaborane (CAS: 131179-99-2). The electronic structure of these compounds is best described by Polyhedral skeletal electron pair theory for cluster molecules. == See also ==
