Baansi is a village in Badi Sadri Tehsil of District Chittorgarh in Rajasthan, India. It was ruled by the Rajputs of Shaktawat clan before independence. Due to abundance of bamboo (called Bans in Hindi), it was named Baansi. It is 94 km from Udaipur City and 78 km South west of Chittorgarh.
