This town is situated at a distance of 12 km south of Larkana city on the Larkana–Mohenjo-daro road. It has an altitude of 53 metres〔(Location of Bakrani - Falling Rain Genomics )〕 and is the headquarters of Bakrani Taluka. There are girls and boys primary and high schools in the town. There is a basic health unit to provide health facilities to the people of town. There is a PTCL exchange which provides telephone connections to Bakrani and also neighbouring villages. There is a main bazaar and a vegetable market in the centre of the town.
