Bardepur (बरदेपुर ) is a small village on National Highway 105 (Darbhanga to Jaynagar) in India. Geographically, it is surrounded by a small seasonal stream that is considered by the locals to be a source of the Jeevachh river. Politically, it is under Pursoulia Gram Panchayat of Kaluahi Block in Madhubani District of Bihar. Sociologically, this village has special significance as Hindu and Muslim families here have lived together harmoniously for generations. A few Hindu castes living here are Brahmin, Yadav, Musahar, Chamar, Halwai, Dhobi and Koiri. ==Name== The first part of this village's name is "barde" or "varde". This is believed to refer to a cattle market which was once organised on the bank of the Jeevachh river. For this reason the place was termed "Baradaha," a twisted form of the word "Baradahaat". Thus it has taken its first part 'Barde'. Some villagers have changed the meaning of the name by replacing 'B' with 'V'. The new name beginning with 'V' means "village of knowledge", from varade or "Varadaa", a word synonymous with the goddess of knowledge and art Saraswati. The last syllable is pur which is a Sanskrit word for village or town. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Bardepur」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
