Bartlettina
''Bartlettina'' is a genus of flowering plants in the aster family, Asteraceae.〔(King, Robert Merrill & Robinson, Harold Ernest. 1971. Phytologia 22(3): 160-162 )〕〔( King, Robert Merrill & Robinson, Harold Ernest. 1971. Phytologia 21(5): 294-297. )〕〔(Tropicos, ''Bartlettina'' R.M. King & H. Rob. )〕 They are native to tropical regions of Mesoamerica and South America.〔(''Bartlettina''. ) Flora of New Zealand Series. Landcare Research, Manaaki Whenua. 2004.〕 The genus was erected to house several plants separated from genus ''Eupatorium.〔
These are shrubs or perennial herbs with woody bases. The oppositely arranged leaves have smooth or serrated edges. The flower heads contain tubular florets.〔
The best known species may be the blue mist flower (''B. sordida''), which is cultivated as an ornamental plant〔(''Bartlettina sordida'', Plant of the Month, September. ) Royal Botanic Garden, Sydney.〕 and has become naturalized outside its native range.〔(''Bartlettina sordida''. ) Germplasm Resources Information Network (GRIN).〕
