Bishungarh, also known as Bishnugarh, Bishangarh, Vishungarh and Vishnugarh is a village in Tahsil Chhibramau and Kannauj district of Uttar Pradesh in India. ==History== Until 1997 "Chhibramau" was the part of the Farrukhabad district but after the bifurcation of Farrukhabad District a new district Kannauj was created in 1997 and now Chhibramau is part of the District Kannauj. Kannauj is one among the most ancient place of India having rich archaeological and cultural heritage. The ancient name of this place is Kanyakubja or Mahodya (as per Valmiki Ramayana, Mahabharata and Purana) later name kanyakubja was changed as Kannauj the present name of the District.
