Bizeljsko
Bizeljsko (; (ドイツ語:Wisell)〔''Leksikon občin kraljestev in dežel zastopanih v državnem zboru,'' vol. 4: ''Štajersko''. 1904. Vienna: C. Kr. Dvorna in Državna Tiskarna, pp. 6–7.〕) is a settlement in the Municipality of Brežice in eastern Slovenia, close to the border with Croatia. It lies on the right bank of the Sotla River and in terms of its territory is the largest settlement in the Municipality of Brežice. The area was traditionally part of Styria. It is now included in the Lower Sava Statistical Region.〔(Brežice municipal site )〕 It includes the hamlets of Bošt, Nimnik, Gradišče ((ドイツ語:Gradischberg)〔), Župjek, Spodnja Sušica ((ドイツ語:Untersuschitz)〔), Zgornja Sušica ((ドイツ語:Obersuschitz)〔), Janežičeva Gorca ((ドイツ語:Johannesberg)〔), Vrhovnica, and Vitna Vas ((スロベニア語:Vitna vas)).〔Savnik, Roman, ed. 1976. Ljubljana: Državna založba Slovenije. p. 22.〕 ==Church== The parish church in the settlement is dedicated to Saint Lawrence and belongs to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Celje. It is a Baroque building, erected between 1725 and 1737 on the site of an older structure of which only part of the belfry remains.〔(Slovenian Ministry of Culture register of national heritage ) reference number 2879〕 Anton Martin Slomšek was curate in Bizeljsko between 1825 and 1827. A second church to the northwest of the settlement is dedicated to Saint Vitus and is a 17th-century building that was vaulted in the 18th century.〔(Slovenian Ministry of Culture register of national heritage ) reference number 2881〕
