The heather symbolizes Breton tenacity. The association had the motto: ''Ar brezhoneg hag ar feiz a zo breur ha c'hoar e Breizh.'' ("Breton and faith are brother and sister in Brittany.") The association fights to preserve Breton faith, language, and traditions.
