Bolsheretsk or Bolsheretsky jail — abandoned village on the West coast of the Kamchatka Peninsula, before jail and a commanding position on the Peninsula, was located at the confluence of Rapid river Big (now R. Plotnikova), on the plain. Jail was founded in 1703 on the river Bolshaya 50 km from its confluence with the sea of Okhotsk. In 1707 the rebels destroyed the Itelmens. In 1711 was rebuilt following the river on its right Bank between the river and the Quick Gilzovka. Bolsheretsky jail was represented by a square earthwork with a side of 21.6 m, on a crest it was dug a palisade of poles. In 1715 poles were replaced by a log fence.
