Brossard—Saint-Lambert : ウィキペディア英語版 | Brossard—Saint-Lambert
Brossard—Saint-Lambert is a new federal electoral district in Quebec. It encompasses a portion of Quebec formerly included in the electoral districts of Brossard—La Prairie and Saint-Lambert. Brossard—Saint-Lambert was created by the 2012 federal electoral boundaries redistribution and was legally defined in the 2013 representation order. It came into effect upon the call of the 42nd Canadian federal election, scheduled for 19 October 2015. ==Profile== Brossard—Saint-Lambert is a fairly diverse riding, especially for Montreal's South Shore. Francophone voters make up around 56% of the electorate while Anglophone voters represent 16% according to figures coming from the 2011 census. Results from the 2011 election, transposed onto the new riding boundaries, show that Liberal support in Brossard was stronger to the west of Taschereau Boulevard, while NDP support was stronger to the east. In Saint-Lambert, the NDP was stronger in the north of the city, while the Liberals took most of the southern portion of the city. Other parties' support was fairly uniform across the new riding, although the Conservatives performed rather poorly in northern Saint-Lambert.
