Bruchem is a village in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is a part of the municipality of Zaltbommel, and lies about 11 km north of 's-Hertogenbosch. Bruchem was a separate municipality, which was renamed in 1818, to "Kerkwijk".〔Ad van der Meer and Onno Boonstra, "Repertorium van Nederlandse gemeenten", KNAW, 2006. ()〕 In 2001, the village of Bruchem had 920 inhabitants. The built-up area of the village was 0.25 km², and contained 332 residences.〔Statistics Netherlands (CBS), (''Bevolkingskernen in Nederland 2001'' ).
