CFWD-FM

CFWD-FM (branded as 96.3 Cruz FM) is a radio station in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan playing an adult hits format.
==History==
Licensed to Harvard Broadcasting on May 28, 2007,〔(CRTC Decision 2007-155 )〕 the station was originally scheduled to launch on 92.3 FM. However, it applied for a change of frequency to 96.3 FM, citing the potential for third-adjacent interference to CKBL.〔(CRTC Public Notice 2008-7 )〕〔(Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2008-77 )〕
On April 9, 2008, the station began broadcasting Christmas music and running station IDs calling itself "Santa FM - Saskatoon's #1 Christmas music station" in a stunt format leading up to the actual launch of the station. The campaign included publicists dressed in Santa costumes and parading on 8th Street in Saskatoon with large signs and sticker giveaways. On April 11, 2008, the station launched as Wired 96.3 with a contemporary hit radio format.
On November 15, 2012, it was announced〔()〕〔()〕 that "Wired" would cease operations at Midnight that evening; after playing "Low" by Flo Rida (which was also the first song on "Wired"), it began stunting with Christmas music again, and also using the previous "96.3 Santa FM" moniker. The stunt lasted until Noon on December 26, 2012, at which the station launched as "96.3 Cruz FM" with an adult hits format. The first song played on "Cruz" was "You Give Love a Bad Name" by Bon Jovi.
