CIUR-FM is rhythmic contemporary radio station branded as Rhythm 104.7. The station broadcasts from 1507 Inkster Blvd. in Winnipeg, Manitoba with sister station CICY-FM. ==History== In 2008 CIUR-FM was licensed by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission.〔(Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2008-195 )〕 After testing its signal in November and early December 2009, the station officially began broadcasting on December 14, 2009.〔("New station on the air with aboriginal hip-hop" ). ''Winnipeg Sun'', December 15, 2009.〕 The station launched with a rhythmic contemporary format aimed primarily, but not exclusively, at First Nations youth.
