CJOK-FM

CJOK-FM is a 24-hour FM stereo radio station serving Fort McMurray, Alberta with a country music format. The station broadcasts at 93.3 MHz.
CJOK originally began broadcasting on the AM dial in 1973 at 1230 kHz. In the 1980s, the station received approval by the CRTC to move from 1230 to 550 kHz, however, the move was never implemented.〔(Decision CRTC 84-342 )〕〔(Decision CRTC 87-4 )〕 In 1994, CJOK added an FM rebroadcaster at 95.7 MHz on Tar Island.〔(Decision CRTC 94-776 )〕 CJOK moved from the AM dial to the FM dial in 1997.〔(Decision CRTC 97-672 )〕

CJOK Country 93.3 is a community first station that is proud to have served Fort McMurray for decades. Playing Today's Best Country and supporting Fort McMurray and the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo.
