Owned by Gordon Peters, on behalf of a not-for-profit corporation to be incorporated, the station received Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) approval on April 14, 2011. 〔(Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2011-245 )〕 The station began testing on January 30, 2012, and officially launched sometime in April of 2012. ==Technical issues== Thamesville, Ontario is located more than from Detroit, Michigan.
