CKMO-FM

CKMO-FM ("MyFM") is a Canadian radio station, which broadcasts an English language adult contemporary format on the frequency of 101.5 MHz/FM in Orangeville, Ontario. The station operates from a studio and offices on Mill Street, in downtown Orangeville.〔(101.5 FM launches local programming ), ''orangevillebusiness.ca'', February 17, 2015〕 The My Broadcasting Corporation station received approval to broadcast from the CRTC on July 18, 2014. The station broadcasts with an average effective radiated power (ERP) of 338 watts (maximum ERP of 625 watts) with an effective height of antenna above average terrain of 55.1 metres, and is located north of the city on Blind Line Road.〔(Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2014-378 ), English-language FM radio station in Orangeville, ''CRTC'', July 18, 2014〕 CKMO-FM is the only Orangeville-based station to specifically target Orangeville; the town's only other licensed radio station, CIDC-FM, focuses on the entire Greater Toronto Area.〔("CRTC Approves New FM Station in Orangeville" ). On November 6, 2014 at 11:12am, CKMO-FM began on air testing with Christmas music on 101.5 MHz. 〔(101.5 FM Orangeville goes to air ), ''Broadcastermagazine'', November 7, 2014〕 In late December 2014, 101.5 FM switched from Christmas music to air 10,000 songs in a row.
On the morning of February 17, 2015, CKMO-FM launched its regular programming, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony at noon with Mayor Jeremy Williams, Councillor Nick Garisto, and CKMO-FM General Manager Gail James. 〔(101.5 Launches local programming ), ''orangeville.ca'', February 17, 2015〕
