CKNT is a radio station that broadcasts a news/talk radio format on the frequency of 960 kHz/AM in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. ==History== On November 22, 2011, Elliot Kerr, on behalf of a corporation to be incorporated received an approval by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) to operate a new English language news/talk AM radio station at Mississauga. 〔(Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2011-722 ), English-language AM radio station in Mississauga, ''CRTC'', November 22, 2011〕 The new station would provide local news and information, weather, sports, traffic, including coverage of city council, local business issues, and community related political and social events. A launch date has yet to be announced. The station was to sign on the air by November 22, 2013.
