The software is being developed in the frame of research conducted in the Materials Engineering Department at the University of British Columbia. CTOME is developed to be a powerful software for the metallurgical scientist that requires a fast access and treatment to large amount of data. MODULES CTOME is composed of several independent modules. Each module is dedicated to a different group of processing tasks. The modules are often complementary to each other, e.g. the results of one module can be the input of another module. The modules do not share variables, making them simultaneously available. The software can run with all modules installed or with a selection of modules. The modules available are: PROFILE, Processing of datafile Processing of multiple files having a similar structure. Functions available: navigation, smooth, windows average, interpolate, derivate, integrate, normalize, column operations. LUMFILE, Analysis of LUMet file Analysis of binary Laser Ultrasonic Files for the evaluation of the ultrasonic delay and attenuation spectrum. Couple the Gleeble files and ultrasonic delay and attenuation spectrum for the evaluation of metallurgical parameters such as grain size, fraction transformed and recrystallized fraction. STAFILE, Statistical Analysis Group a set of statistics function for the analysis of grain size obtained from metallography in order to assist the comparison with laser ultrasonics grain size. WAVFILE, Waveform spectrum Analysis Analysis of the frequency content of an individual time-amplitude waveform for the measurement of delay, attenuation spectrum and the related metallurgical parameters, e.g. FEM simulated waveform. TEXFILE, Ultrasonics Texture Analysis Group a set of functions for the study of ultrasound propagation in textured materials, dedicated to the evaluation of ultrasonics parameters from the texture information measured ex-situ.
