CV-Library.co.uk was one of the first employment-related websites for job listings launched in the UK in October 2000. CV-Library holds the UK’s largest CV database of over 9 million CVs from candidates looking for work. The website is an example of vertical search and in 2008 Hitwise cited CV-Library as a top 10 website in terms of web visitors. In March 2015, CV-Library slipped past TotalJobs to become the second largest website in terms of UK jobs listed behind Reed. The site aggregates job listings from thousands of employment agencies(recruitment consultants), direct employers, ad agencies, staffing firms and associations. In 2011, CV-Library became the first job website to allow candidates to apply for jobs on a mobile device and in 2012 the job website made history being the first to integrate with cloud storage. CV-Library is based in Fleet, Hampshire. == History == CV-Library was co-founded by Lee Biggins and Brian Wakem. The company was founded using £9000 in savings and has never had any external investment. CV-Library Corporate Headquarters is located in Fleet, Hampshire. CV-Library originally operated out of a barn and therein followed the use of a barn owl called Barney as their mascot in 2004. In 2008 CV-Library was listed by Hitwise as one of the top 10 websites in the UK. In 2009 ABC listed CV-Library as a top 10 UK website In 2010 CV-Library moved to its current headquarters at Waterfront Business Park in Fleet, Hampshire. CV-Library also launched British Jobs, a network of over 800 local job websites providing jobs on a local and regional basis. In 2011 CV-Library launched their first mobile app on both android and IOS, the first of its kind to offer applications direct from a mobile device. The apps were later updated in 2012 to offer cloud cv storage to facilitate applications. In 2011 CV-Library was included in the Deloitte Technology Fast500 EMEA and Deloitte Technology Fast50 list of businesses. In September 2013, Lee Biggins became sole Managing Director of the company after completing an internal buyout. 2015 saw the launch of Resume Library and an entry into the US market. CV-Library is the only recruitment company to make the shortlist for the Private Business Awards in 2015.
