Calolziocorte is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Lecco in the Italian region Lombardy, located about northeast of Milan and about southeast of Lecco. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 14,121 and an area of .〔All demographics and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat.〕 The municipality of Calolziocorte contains the ''frazioni'' (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Rossino, Lorentino, Sopracornola, Pascolo, Foppenico, and Sala. Calolziocorte borders the following municipalities: Brivio, Carenno, Erve, Monte Marenzo, Olginate, Torre de' Busi, Vercurago. Calolziocorte received the honorary title of city with a presidential decree on December 10, 2002.
