Carnevale : ウィキペディア英語版
Carnevale
Carnevale literally translated means "no meat" from the Latin (carne=meat and (levare)vale=remove/eliminate). Carnevale are the traditional Christian celebrations and feast right before the start of the Christian period of Lent. Lent is the six weeks period before Easter during which one maintains a frugal diet, thus giving up eating meat.
Carnevale, the Italian for "carnival", may refer to:
* Fra Carnevale "Brother Carnevale", an Italian Renaissance painter
* Carnival of Venice ((イタリア語:Carnevale di Venezia))
* Andrea Carnevale, Italian former football player
