Carp-Talk
''Carp-Talk'', a carp fishing magazine published by Carp Fishing News Ltd, combines catch reports, news items and topical articles, to create the world's only weekly magazine dedicated to carp anglers. Issue 1 was launched in June 1994 and featured articles by well-known anglers Matt Hayes and Barrie Rickards.
More than 20 years later ''Carp-Talk'' holds a unique place in the angling magazine marketplace by still being the only weekly title dedicated to catching Britain’s favourite freshwater fish. A respected authority of significant carp captures, ''Carp-Talk'' has reported dozens of UK and world records. Many notable anglers, including Rod Hutchinson have appeared in the magazine at some point down the years, as well as those with a passion for angling from the world of TV, music and sport, such as Dean Macey, Jeremy Wade, Jim Davidson, Dappy, Scott Maslen, Chris Tarrant, John Terry, Lee Bowyer, Bobby Zamora and David Seaman.
In 2007, the magazine launched a weekly digital supplement called ''Carp-Talk Xtra'', which was distributed to a mailing list via email containing a URL. After 407 issues the project was shelved after ''Carp-Talk'' became available digitally via Pocketmags.
In 2009, the magazine launched the Carp-Talk Awards to help recognise the achievements of anglers and companies over a 12-month period. The categories are numerous and varied, with the ‘Best New Product’ being the most prized by the angling industry.
