Casella is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Genoa in the Italian region Liguria, located about northeast of Genoa. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,131 and an area of .〔All demographics and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat.〕 The municipality of Casella contains the ''frazioni'' (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Avosso, Carpeneta, Cortino, Parata, Regiosi, Salvega, and Stabbio.
